Boston QSP November event announcement

Boston- Please join us on Wednesday, November 15th, 2017 for an evening of sharing, learning, and socializing with fellow Boston QSP members. Hear from our distinguished guest speaker Dr. Joseph Lehar, at the Havana room. Then enjoy great ambience and conversation with members at Venture Café over some selected craft beers and food from a small business. RSVP is required. The event is sponsored by Pfizer.

5:30-6:15 PM - "Exploring systems biology and precision medicine at scale," Joseph Lehar, PhD, Executive Dir., Head Computational Biology, MRL at Merck, followed by Q&A (Havana Room)

6:15PM - 7:30PM - Reception @ Venture Cafe (a few steps down the hallway from Havana Room).

Speaker Detail:

Dr. Joseph Lehar

Dr. Joseph Lehar is an executive director of computational biology at Merck Research Laboratories. Before then, he was at Verily (Google Life Sciences), building their computational biology capability; after Novartis, where Joseph was a director of bioinformatics for Oncology Translational Medicine; and CombinatoRx, a biotech focused on drug combinations. As an adjunct professor at Boston University through all of these positions, he is also pursuing these and other research interests. Joseph holds a Ph.D. in physics, and his original career was astrophysics, which he pursued at MIT, Cambridge University, and Harvard.

Dr. Lehar's presentation at Boston QSP event on November 15th will be titled "Exploring systems biology and precision medicine at scale."
